Our Technical Design Process

Research and Concept Development

The designer investigates current trends, materials, and technologies, brainstorming ideas and developing a concept for the collection or garment.

Sketching and Design Development

The designer creates preliminary garment sketches, refining them by producing detailed technical sketches and specifications.

Sampling and Prototyping

The designer constructs sample garments or prototypes to assess fit, function, and appearance while employing techniques like draping, flat-pattern cutting, and prototyping.

Fabric and Material Selection

The designer chooses suitable fabrics and materials for final garments, considering factors like durability, breathability, and stretch properties, along with design requirements.

Grading and Pattern Making

The designer develops patterns for each garment size, considering various human body measurements and proportions. They also establish a grading system for creating patterns in multiple sizes.

Technical Pack and Specification Sheet

The designer compiles a technical pack containing detailed garment information, including materials, measurements, and construction methods. They also generate a specification sheet outlining dimensions, care instructions, and labeling requirements.

Production

The designer collaborates with manufacturers and production teams to materialize the design, overseeing the cutting, sewing, and finishing to ensure adherence to technical specifications and design intent.

Quality Control and Evaluation
